Referral Process:
Dr Miriam Bartlett accepts referrals for Endocrine issues. Please send all referrals to Mooroolbark Specialist Centre (via secure messaging, fax or email). All referrals are triaged to check that Dr Miriam Bartlett can see the patient in the appropriate timeframe before offering the patient an appointment. This process is usually completed within a week but often sooner. Dr Bartlett will recommend another Endocrinologist if she is unable to see the patient within the appropriate timeframe.

Special Interests:
Dr Miriam Bartlett has a special interest in Type 1 Diabetes and insulin pumps, but she does see patients with all Endocrine issues and this includes supervising Zoledronic Acid (Aclasta) infusions at Mooroolbark Specialist Centre. Care of Pregnant Women:
Dr Miriam Bartlett is happy to continue to see women with Endocrine issues who are pregnant and delivering privately including those with Type 1 Diabetes. For women delivering publicly Dr Bartlett will hand over care of women with Diabetes to the clinics of the Public Hospital for the duration of the pregnancy. For women with other Endocrine issues it will depend on the Public Hospital policies, but Dr Bartlett is happy to continue care if suitable. For women living rural or remote and delivering publicly but without a local Endocrine service Dr Bartlett is happy to provide ongoing Endocrine care (including for Diabetes) throughout the pregnancy.

Hospital Affiliations:
Dr Miriam Bartlett is an Endocrinologist at Eastern Health and has worked in the TODAY Clinic (Young Adult Diabetes Clinic) since 2012. Dr Bartlett does not see inpatients at any Private Hospital.
